🎮 Stealth Learning
We use our VR Stations, Racing Sims, and Console Lounge to teach Science & Art. They think they’re gaming; you know they’re learning.
Forget sticky classrooms. At District Beta, we immerse your child in a world of Virtual Reality and High-Tech Fun. Whether you need them here for the core camp day or the full working day, they'll be safe, happy, and learning skills for the future.
Camp Runs July 6th – Sept 4th | Ages 7-14
The Flagship Program: Beta Explorers (Science & Tech Edition)
(Formerly "Education Made Fun" Now Recharged for 2026)
We don’t just teach science. We let them step inside it.
This is our most popular program, running strong for 4 years and updated for 2026. We take the Ontario Science curriculum and supercharge it using our facility’s cutting-edge technology. By replacing textbooks with Virtual Reality headsets and Professional Racing Simulators, we turn complex concepts like astrophysics and biology into an unforgettable game.
It’s the only camp in Sarnia where 'Leveling Up' means getting smarter.
The Missions (Curriculum Breakdown)
-
Your child won't just look at pictures of planets; they will launch into orbit. Using our VR headsets, campers take a guided "Spacewalk" to understand the scale of the universe, gravity, and the solar system.
The Tech: Virtual Reality Headsets.
The Lesson: Astronomy, Gravity, and Atmospheric Science.
-
We put campers in the driver's seat of our professional-grade Racing Simulators to learn the laws of motion. They’ll see how friction, velocity, and aerodynamics affect a car on the track.
The Tech: Force-Feedback Racing Simulators.
The Lesson: Newtonian Physics, Velocity, and Aerodynamics.
-
Using immersive software, we shrink campers down to the size of an atom. They will explore the inner workings of a human cell and the structure of plants from the inside out.
The Tech: VR & Interactive 3D Models.
The Lesson: Cell Biology, Plant Life, and Atomic Structure.
-
We take the headsets off for some explosive fun. Campers get their hands dirty with safe, high-energy experiments that bubble, fizz, and react, teaching them how different elements interact in the real world.
The Tech: Real-world Lab Experiments.
The Lesson: Chemistry and Matter.
-
We blend the digital world with traditional creativity. From designing art in a 3D virtual space to painting in the real world, we encourage campers to express themselves across all mediums.
The Tech: VR Tilt Brush / Traditional Art Supplies.
The Lesson: Creativity, Design, and Spatial Awareness.
Why Moms Choose This Week: This is the perfect blend of the Arcade Experience kids crave and the Educational Value parents want. They get to play with the coolest tech in Sarnia, but they come home talking about atoms and planets.
Theme Week: Deep Space & Deep Sea
The Ultimate Explorer's Package
From the bottom of the ocean to the edge of the galaxy.
In this specialized theme week, we focus on the two final frontiers. Campers will trade their sneakers for (virtual) spacesuits and scuba gear. By combining VR Ocean Simulations with Aerospace Rocketry, we look at how humans explore the unknown.
Warning: Campers may come home demanding to be an astronaut or a marine biologist.
The Expeditions (Curriculum Breakdown)
-
While Week 1 touches on space, Week 2 goes deeper. Campers become astronauts, using VR to simulate a landing on Mars, explore the International Space Station, and experience zero-gravity environments.
The Tech: VR Space Walk Simulators.
The Lesson: Planetary Science, Space Travel History, and Astronomy.
-
Why get wet when you can dive digitally? We use high-fidelity VR to drop campers into the deep ocean. They will come face-to-face with an 80-foot blue whale, explore coral reefs, and navigate the dark depths of the abyss—all from the safety of the arcade.
The Tech: "The Blu" VR Experience & Ocean Rift.
The Lesson: Marine Biology, Ocean Zones, and Ecosystems.
-
It wouldn't be a Space & Water camp without rockets! Campers become engineers for the day, designing and building their own pressurized water rockets. They learn about propulsion, aerodynamics, and stability before launching their creations to see whose flies the highest.
The Activity: Building and Launching Water Rockets.
The Lesson: Newton’s Third Law, Aerodynamics, and Engineering.
-
We use our simulation tech to look at how water moves. From navigating boats in a simulator to understanding how water is crucial for life on other planets (the search for extraterrestrial life), we tie the two themes together.
The Tech: Simulation Software & Environmental Labs.
The Lesson: Fluid Dynamics and Environmental Science.
Why Moms Choose This Week: If your child is obsessed with Space, Sharks, or Building Things, this is the week for them. It’s a focused deep-dive into exploration that encourages curiosity about the natural world, powered by the coolest tech in Sarnia.
Theme Week: Digital Design & Physical Art
Where Technology Meets Creativity
Don't just play the game. Design it.
This week is for the dreamers, the drawers, and the builders. We combine traditional art techniques with mind-blowing Virtual Reality tools to show campers that art isn't just on a piece of paper, it's all around us. By toggling between painting on canvas and sculpting in 3D virtual space, we unlock creativity in a way no other camp can.
Perfect for the child who loves to draw, build, or create characters.
The Studio Sessions (Curriculum Breakdown)
-
Using the industry-standard Google Tilt Brush, campers step into a virtual void where their controller becomes a paintbrush. They can paint in 3D space—walking around their artwork, stepping inside it, and sculpting with light, fire, and stars. It is an immersive lesson in spatial awareness and 3D design that feels like magic.
The Tech: VR Headsets & Motion Controllers.
The Lesson: 3D Modeling, Spatial Design, and Virtual Mediums.
-
We take the headsets off to get back to basics. Campers get hands-on with real-world materials, paint, canvas, markers, and clay. We focus on the fundamentals of colour theory, shading, and composition, proving that you need solid traditional skills to be a great digital artist.
The Activity: Canvas Painting, Sketching, and Sculpting.
The Lesson: Fine Motor Skills, Color Theory, and Composition.
-
Since we are inside an arcade, we use our environment for inspiration! Campers analyze the art styles of their favourite games, from the retro pixels of Pac-Man to the high-def realism of racing sims. They will learn about character design and what makes a video game look "cool."
The Tech: Arcade Cabinets & Reference Screens.
The Lesson: Character Design, Art History (Gaming Edition), and Visual Storytelling.
-
At the end of the week, campers curate a gallery of their work. They will have physical art to take home to Mom and Dad, and digital screenshots/videos of the 3D worlds they built in VR.
The Takeaway: A portfolio of physical and digital creations.
Why Moms Choose This Week: This is the "Right Brain" workout. It breaks the stigma that technology kills creativity—here, technology explodes it. It’s a messy, colourful, high-tech week that results in fridge-worthy art and new digital skills.
Note: All art supplies (digital and physical) are included in the price.
